Controversy over double contracts has erupted in Japan’s professional baseball (NPB).헤라카지노

Japanese media Sponichi Annex reported on the 24th (Korea Standard Time), “The Rakuten Golden Eagles denied the rumor that Nick Turley would join another club.”

Turley joined the New York Yankees in 2008. He spent a long time in the minor leagues as he was drafted in the lower 50 rounds. Nine years later, in 2017, he made his big league debut as a member of the Minnesota Twins. In 10 games (three starts), he had 17 ⅔s, two losses, and an 11.21 ERA.

Since then, he has not seen Turley in the Major League for a long time. He took the mound again in 2020. This time, he moved to Pittsburgh, where he recorded three losses and an ERA of 4.98 in 21 ⅔ innings in 25 games.

He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox in 2021 and tried unsuccessfully to challenge the big league. Finally, he was released. Unable to find a team after the end of the season, Turley turned to Asia. He signed a contract with Japan’s Hiroshima Toyo Carp and announced a new start.

He had a 2-4, 14-hold ERA of 3.11 in 2022, and the club re-signed Turley. And he performed better in 44 games last season with a 7-1, 22-hold, one save, and a 1.74 ERA in 41 ⅓ innings.

Despite the good performance, the club did not renew the contract this time. Rakuten reached out to Turley, which led to the contract. He has been able to play on the Japanese stage for three years.

However, there was a problem. Earlier in the day, the Mexican League club Monclova announced that it had strengthened pitchers and catchers, and Turley’s name was there. Controversy over the double contract arose.

Then, the team quickly evolved. “I checked, but that was not the case,” a Rakuten official said. “I went through strict procedures and signed the contract. I also talked about this with the player,” and announced that it was not a double contract.
