Returning to the starting lineup, Bae Ji-hwan doubled to center field, scoring one run.

Pittsburgh drops two straight to Cubs
Bae Bae-hwan of the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB) was back in the starting lineup for the second straight day. The Pittsburgh Pirates hosted the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Monday (Aug. 28).

Bae, who was a pinch-hitter the previous day (27), started at second base and batting first. He went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. His season batting average improved slightly to 2-for-37 (57 hits in 241 at-bats) from 2-for-6.

The hit came in his first at-bat. Bae swung at a two-pitch pitch from Cubs starter Javier Asad. The pitch split the outfield in right-center field.

Bae sprinted, rounded first base and stole second. In the process, like Kim Ha-Sung (San Diego Padres), his helmet came off. It was his 12th double of the season.

He moved to third on Brian Reynolds’ grounder to first and came home on the next batter’s grounder to second by Keebrean Hayes. Bae scored to tie the game at 1-1.

He did not record a multi-hit game (two or more hits in a game) or a multi-RBI game. Bae struck out in each of his next three at-bats.

Pittsburgh was outscored 1-10 by the Cubs. They were unable to score after Bae’s run. The Cubs cut the deficit to 3-1 in the top of the fourth on a two-run double by Jameer Candelario and made it 6-1 in the top of the fifth on an RBI double by Cody Bellinger and a two-run single by Sehiya Suzuki.온라인카지노

A fielder’s choice by the Pittsburgh defense in the top of the eighth added another run, and Bellinger’s RBI double in the top of the ninth put the game out of reach.

Bellinger was a perfect 5-for-5 on the day with three doubles and five RBIs, and was a key contributor to the Cubs’ victory. Starter Javier Asad pitched seven innings of one-run ball and received solid offensive support to earn the win and improve to 3-2 on the season.
