South Korea’s national soccer team coach Jürgen Klinsmann, who was expected to return home at the end of this month for a medical examination of foreign players, will return with the team on Thursday.
“Coach Klinsmann is scheduled to return home via Incheon International Airport on the afternoon of the 14th,” the Korea Football Association said on the 13th. “Coach Klinsmann changed his schedule at the coaching staff meeting to start checking the K League players before announcing the October A-match roster,” the statement added.
According to the association, Klinsmann was initially scheduled to watch the Bundesliga matches between Bayern Munich and Leverkusen, where Kim Min-jae plays, on the 16th, and visit European clubs to meet with officials. He also planned to return home with the European coaching staff to inspect European players before the October A match.
However, it seems that he changed the schedule as domestic public opinion deteriorated due to his out-of-town activities, telecommuting, and controversy over his exclusion from the K League. Klinsmann was scheduled to travel directly from England to Germany and then return to his home in the United States. He is now expected to return home later this month or in early October at the latest.메이저놀이터
Earlier in the day, Klinsmann’s side earned their first win in six matches in a friendly against Saudi Arabia. Cho Kyu-sung (Mittwillan) scored in the 32nd minute to secure a 1-0 victory. The national team has two more matches in October against Tunisia (Oct. 13) and Vietnam (Oct. 17).
