The Jeonju and Ulsan competitions of the ‘2023 Gatorade 5v5 Women’s Competition’, a domestic amateur women’s futsal competition, will hold the final regional preliminary round.
This tournament, hosted by sports marketing company HNS Co., Ltd. and with Gatorade participating as a partner, will be held on the 28th at HM Futsal Park Ulsan Buk-gu Branch and Jeonju Branch. This is the last regional preliminary round of the year. The middle school students’ competition was completed in the first half of the year, and the women’s competition in the second half of the year will be held in a total of eight regions.
The top team from each regional preliminary competition is eligible to participate in the national championship. 24 teams participating in the championship were selected from the six competitions held previously. In the Ulsan and Jeonju competitions, the final eight (teams that advance to the semifinals of each competition) will be selected.
Among the teams participating in the Jeonju regional preliminary, last year’s winning team, Class A Futsal Club, stands out. Coach Ahn Kwang-soo said, “Last year, the game went better than expected and we won easily, but this year, the player composition has changed a lot. If we compare it, it is a team rebuilding stage. The participating players will play happily and gain experience rather than just get good results, so they will love futsal even more. “I hope this can be an opportunity for that to happen,” he said.
Attention is focused on Tiki Taka FS in the Ulsan regional preliminaries held on the same day. Tiki Taka FS, based in Daegu, is a team with a relatively short history, having been officially founded in May of last year. However, just one month after its founding, it placed second in the Daegu Metropolitan Mayor’s Cup and won the Miryang Arirang Cup last May.
Chairman Bang Woori said, “Although the team’s history is short, we are confident that we are a top-ranked team in the Daegu area. Although this is our first time participating in the Gatorade competition, our goal is to win. We will win the right to participate in the championship and promote our team not only to the Gyeongsang Province area but to the entire country.”메이저사이트
Teams that advanced through the preliminaries to the finals will compete in the national championship in Siheung on November 4 to determine the winner.
